Zelda of the Future

The question recently came up in one of my gaming forums about the future of Zelda. Will we ever see a return to life-like-Link, or has the series forever adopted its new cel-shaded look? An interview with game designer ((((whatsis face)))) suggests that, at least for the time being, Midgit Link will remain the Hero of the Triforce.

In the process of discussing this news with my friends, I jokingly introduced the idea that the next Zelda game should take place in Outer Space. To my shock and alarm, I learned that many of the die-hard Zelda fans supported this idea whole-heartedly!

It started to grow on me. After all, Final Fantasy used to be a mythological series as well, until VII hit the market. I started thinking, "What would future-Link look like?" Would he fly a spaceship? Shoot a gun? Eat sushi? Suddenly this didn't seem like too bad of an idea.

To put it plainly, I think that if Miyamoto worked up some old-school Star Fox flying action, combined it with a Zelda storyline, and threw in a few battle-style twists, he just might create himself the next Game of the Year – correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that would mark Zelda as the first series ever to win the award twice.

That's all for now... if you have anything you'd like me to look into, don't hesitate to send me an e-mail at xxxxTHExxGUYxxxx@yahoo.com.
