In the 1980's, the Nintendo Entertainment System exploded onto the market, rivaling even Atari.
Nintendo carried some huge titles a few years after its release, including The Legend of Zelda.
In 1987 one of the most popular games was The Legend of Zelda, created by Shigeru
Miyamoto, a legendary game-maker.
LoZ follows a young boy named Link as he attempts to save the Princess of Hyrule, Zelda, from an
evil, invading monster named Ganon who wishes to control and destroy the world. Link sets out to
retrieve the eight pieces of the Triforce, a relic with the power to grant wishes.
After collecting the pieces, Link sets out to battle Ganon.
