After being shipwrecked, Link finds himself stranded on a large island, dominated by an
egg resting at the top of a tall mountain.
Link decides to ask the Wind Fish, found within the egg, how to get home, but first has
to battle through dungeons and hordes of monsters. He learns it is believed that all the
people on Koholint are actually just a dream of the Wind Fish.
Link wants to get home, so he defeats monsters to gain the instruments needed to wake
the Wind Fish.
Link's Awakening was released in 1993 and LA DX was released in 1998 for the Game Boy Color.
